The RIG is a compact self-braking descender designed specifically for experienced users in rope access. Its ergonomic handle offers comfortable control during descent. The AUTO-LOCK system enables users to effortlessly position themselves at their work station without the need to manipulate the handle or tie off the device. Once locked, the rope can be adjusted without manual handle manipulation. The presence of a safety gate allows for easy rope installation while the device remains connected to the harness. The RIG is user-friendly and suitable for experienced rope access workers. It offers a safety gate on the moving side plate which facilitates rope installation with the device connected to the harness, allowing for easy passage of intermediate anchors. The rope guide and markings ensure simple rope installation, while the ergonomic handle enables easy rope release and descent control. The descender features two descent modes: on the side plate or in the V-shaped friction channel. The AUTO-LOCK system eliminates the need to manipulate the handle or tie off the device for secure positioning at the work station. As soon as the handle is released, the rope is automatically locked in the device. To prevent accidental snagging, the handle has an automatic return system, which switches it to storage position when the rope is removed. This feature reduces the risk of accidental snagging when the descender is carried on the harness. The RIG is versatile, allowing for easy short ascents by taking up the locked rope without handle manipulation. Additionally, the cam can be operated to take up slack or belay a lead using climbing techniques. The stainless steel wear plate reinforces the rope friction zone, ensuring durability. The descender is capable of handling heavy loads up to 200 kg. It is compatible with ropes measuring 10 to 11.5 mm in diameter. The RIG is available in two colors, yellow and black, and is constructed with aluminum, steel, and nylon materials. With a weight of 400 grams, it is lightweight and portable.
